The entire system started as an engineering challenge: running a full 98KB broadcast automation engine originally on a legendary 2005 Sony Vaio PCG-791M (Windows XP, 512MB RAM) orchestrated by Google Gemini AI. A demonstration of how concise code and modern technology achieve big results.

Radio Granellìk is the only Italian AI radio broadcasted from a 2005 Sony Vaio (Windows XP, 512MB RAM, 68KB code) – the pirate radio of silence, free like those of the '70s revolution, independent from commercial powers, with no ads breaking the flow. Developed entirely by Stefano Pastori, a pioneer of Italian streaming in the '90s (selling Pinnacle suites in the 56k era), using only logical dialogues with Google Gemini – zero programmers, zero investments.

The musical schedule is deliberately universal, spanning various genres and languages (the AI is trained to converse in 18 languages). All songs, lyrics, and music are a mix of human collaboration and AI.

Imagine a 2005 Sony Vaio PCG-791M, with stable Windows XP and 512MB RAM, running a full broadcast: loading 1000 exclusive tracks and podcasts generated by custom apps piloting networked musical AIs. In real-time it calls GRANELLO – a custom Gemini with a crazy but lucid personality, fluent in 18 languages, a mental amplifier that transforms prompts on music, science, or daily life into live DJ sets, surreal reflections, and unexpected angles opening new perspectives.
The Vaio mixes everything perfectly – AI content, Granello interventions, contributor inputs – producing a broadcast-quality 192kbps MP3 at 48kHz stream, sent to IONOS servers for global distribution without pauses or downtime.
Participation for authorized contributors: it is not open to everyone, but reserved for those collaborating via Granello VOX (private app). From your phone you record personal interviews/dialogues, the system checks free slots in real-time, you schedule the exact day/time and send with 1 click – the AI broadcast does the rest automatically. Contribute from anywhere in the world with total control.
