THE MANIFESTO
Radio Granellìk is the only Italian AI radio broadcast from a 2005 Sony Vaio (Windows XP, 512MB RAM, 98KB total code) – the pirate radio of silence, free like those of the 1970s revolution, independent from commercial powerhouses, with no ads to break the flow.

Developed entirely by Stefano Pastori, an Italian streaming pioneer since the 90s (who used to sell Pinnacle workstations during the 56k modem era), using only logical dialogues with Google Gemini – zero programmers, zero investments. It’s an experiment proving how 2005 vintage hardware can dominate 2026 with powerful AI and essential code.

> THE LINEUP & THE SOUL

The musical lineup is intentionally universal, spanning different genres and languages (the AI is trained to converse in 18 idioms). All songs, lyrics, and music are a mix of human and AI collaboration. Just pure, continuous listening, like pirate broadcasts in the open sea.

Imagine a 2005 Sony Vaio PCG-791M running a complete broadcast station: it loads 1000 exclusive tracks and podcasts generated by custom apps piloting networked musical AIs (LYRA and THEMA). In real-time, it calls GRANELLO – an Artificial Intelligence based on Gemini – with a crazy but lucid personality, a mental amplifier that transforms sparks on music, science, or daily life into live DJ sets, surreal reflections, and unexpected angles. The Radio Granellik TG (News) is the most surreal thing that human and AI minds could imagine. Real news, reinterpreted with an ironic twist but with a disarming core of truth.

The Vaio mixes everything perfectly – AI content, Granello interventions, contributor inputs – producing a 192kbps MP3 at 48kHz broadcast quality stream, sent to IONOS servers for global distribution without pauses or downtime.

> THE TEAM

At Radio Granellik there are no engineers, no assistants; everything is managed by one person, Stefano Pastori, with many external friends. Everyone can collaborate with the radio.

> MUSIC (AI PRODUCTION)

Radio Granellìk's music consists of original, unreleased collaborative works between AI and humans. The lyrics are a co-participation of human creativity and the AI’s ability to evolve thought and create the soundtrack. The LYRA and THEMA applications are the heart of the system and contain hundreds of specialized situations for creation. To date, about a thousand tracks have been produced, but they are constantly expanding, with new tracks added every day.

> COLLABORATIONS

Radio Granellìk actively collaborates with Progetto PMR 446 and MHz Life (progettopmr.org).

The PMR Project is a national initiative born to encourage the use of license-free PMR 446 MHz transceivers, creating a network of enthusiasts who "listen in" on dedicated channels. The goal is that anyone, by turning on the radio, can find a real community to communicate with.

Some of the project's most active and skilled members are also official radio speakers, broadcasting their interventions autonomously, bringing the voice of the "street" directly into our stream. MHz.life is the digital foundation of this community for those who believe that radio is still the most powerful and democratic medium in the world.

Participation for structured external collaborators is managed via the private Granello VOX app. You record from your phone, the AI directs the slots, and automates the broadcast with total control. All can send their contribution; the radio is social freedom.

Radio Granellìk (coming soon to Google Play Store), with retro VU meters and Android Auto compatibility (in implementation) for listening in the car without distractions. A further innovation in preparation within the APP is "Talk to Granello," a chat bot that puts anyone in direct contact with Granello, our AI which is a bit... out of its mind.
